Community Resiliency Method – Free Training

The Network is working with Healing for the Heart to provide a full day training workshop in the use of the Community Resiliency Model (CRM).

This is an in person workshop, which will take place on Tuesday 29th October 9.30am-4.30pm. Byres Hub, Clarice Pears Building, University of Glasgow, 90 Byres Road. G12 8TB

The CRM is a therapeutic approach designed help individuals, families and communities cope with and recover from traumatic events and chronic stress. CRM trains you to not only help yourself but to help others within their wider social network. Participants can expect to learn about the neurobiology of stress and how this impacts us as well as techniques to stabilise the nervous system which will aid self management of symptoms and triggers. The workshop will also consider how these skills can be used to support others.

All participants attending the day training will be given handouts, which record the main points of the training. In addition, all participants are able to join Healing for the Heart’s learning community, which meets quarterly and offers a space to connect with other individuals and organisations across Glasgow to share good practice in using CRM skills to improve self management.

We have 12 places for this training. Please note we can only allow one place per organisation. For more information, contact Martina martina.northwestglasgowvsn@outlook.com or make your booking via this link:
